DNA quantification and integrity were determined by the Nanodrop spectrophotometer (Thermo Fisher Scientific Inc., Wilmington, DE USA) and the 1% agarose electrophoresis, respectively. Genotyping of 278 eligible DNA samples from 139 DZ twin pairs was performed at the BioMiao Biological Technology Company Limited (Beijing, China) using Infinium Omni2.5Exome-8v1.2 genotyping BeadChips (Illumina Inc, San Diego, USA), which covers 2,608,742 SNPs.
